Savannah's Colonial Park Cemetery is the oldest in the city and probably the most interesting to visit. Instagram - mobileinstinct - https://www.instagram.co...
Deep in the woods on Jekyll Island sits 2 gun emplacements that have been sitting in the same location since 1898. They were installed here during the Spanish American War. See Rock City, the signs are everywhere in Tennessee and Georgia! I had to take them up on it and I'm glad I did. Such an amazing place full of tight caves and beautiful views. The Fat Man Squeeze is my personal favorite. A very skinny cave that makes you regret eating that extra muffin for breakfast!
Thanks for checking out my Sweet Home Alabama filming locations video. Ironically it was not filmed in Alabama! It was filmed in neighboring Georgia. So the next time someone asks where the Sweet Home Alabama movie locations are, you can throw that bit of trivia at them.
Doing the My Cousin Vinny filming locations was a total blast to say the least. Being in the small towns of Georgia was a great experience and it was amazing to see all the places where Joe Pesci, Marisa Tomei, and Ralph Macchio made their characters come alive.
I had heard about the Kangaroo sanctuary and petting zoo in Georgia while filming a Sweet Home Alabama movie locations video. (which will be out on my channel very soon) I was 3 hours away and thought about how I've never had the opportunity to pet a kangaroo before so this would be considered a bucket list item for sure!
The Jekyll Island beach of dead trees is definitely one of those places that will show up on a Buzzfeed type website listing 25 weirdest places that actually exist. The oak trees that sit in the water are on Driftwood Beach and sit kind of at the end of the island away from most things.
